About Me

“Your 20’s are your ‘selfish’ years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself in every single thing possible. Be selfish with your time, and all the aspects of you. Tinker, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.” - Kyoko Escamilla
Hi all, I'm Ali & I'm from New England. I try not to take life too seriously.

Currently, I go to UMass Amherst, I study Kinesiology, and I'm considering getting a dual degree with Nursing.

I am, and always will be, a sorority girl- specifically, a Chi Omega. Sorority life is so much more than it's Animal House reputation. I have made life-long friends, been apart of philanthropies to help raise money for wish-kids, learned about leadership and found a community of others who also share some of these passions. Chi O has done more for me than I could ever imagine, and I am so thankful for my sisters and this incredible organization. Hootie Hoot!

I have a dog named Cooper. I might be bordering on an obsession with him. He's two, and I think of him as my child. His favorite past times include: ripping up the wood floors, BAROOing, following me closer than my shadow, causing other general mayhem and napping. He is not a horse, a Bernese, or a beagle mix.
How can you resist this face?

In the spring of 2014, I spent 3 incredible months in Australia. It was the experience of a lifetime and I can't wait to get back to the land down under some day. Now I've got the bug & throughout my life I just want to travel all around the world. Check out my series of posts from that time (here.) I'm hoping that my next adventure will be to the Mediterranean area of Europe.

I'm a worrier and I'm working on it.

Country music {and/or 1D- holla still love my boy bands) can get me through any bad day. Also, I think Kenny Chesney is my spirit person.

Potterhead Nerd & Fanatic - no really I have a pottermore account.

I lost one of the most important people of my life in 2012, and the title of this blog is dedicated to her... my Sydne Sunshine, reminding me to always be positive, find a way to laugh, help others, and look for the light in the darkness as she did. She is one of the most beautiful people that I had the good fortune to meet and have as a best friend, I miss her every day... xo.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my page!
